One Word - TUPPERWARE! Chloe has this new obsession with Tupperware. She loves lids and containers, and they always go right to her head! Once the Tupperware has gone to her head she will start growling and chasing us around the house! Its one of my favorite things she does :)

My little Girl is 13 months old and growing up way too fast! She makes life so much more fun!!! Mother's Day was so much fun with CiCi. I got the biggest hug and Smile from my little angel when she first woke up and that made my entire year. Just to see how she looks at me makes my whole life worth living!!!

ONE Whole Year Later....

So Im still in shock! My little baby girl turned 1 whole years old last Saturday, April 9th 2011!

We had a Yo Gabba Gabba (Crazy show she loves) party and had the whole family over for the big celebration! We played some games, watched Chloe eat some YUMMY chocolate cake, ate some delicious salads and everyone had such a fun time making the day extra special for CiCi!

I just love this pic!!! And I just love that little girl more than life itself! She is the best baby for me, I couldn't have hand picked a better one! I was sick last week (throwing up and not having much fun) and every so often she would walk over to me and give me the biggest Hug, Just to make sure I was ok! That is the kind of little girl I was blessed with :)

Another sweet thing about my little Chloe is whenever she hears another baby or kid crying she will either cry with them or look at them like whats wrong? It is one of the cutest things ever! She has so much empathy and is such a sweet little spirit! I am so lucky to be her Mom!!!

Blogging has been on the back burner the past few months... Opps I will try to get better at that.

Here is a small update (in Pictures/Videos) of what we have been up to!

Mom finally got a haircut and Chloe is still a big Cheeseball when is comes to the camera!

Walks are a must! We have had a few days where it has been nice and sunny and we have taken advantage of those days :) Here is Chloe soaking up the sun and staying cool in her shades! She loves her glasses and will wear them the entire walk!

~VALENTINES DAY~

This year was low key and very nice. Chloe got a few more toys and some candy because she is girl who likes her chocolate ;)

Mom and Dad celebrated V-Day on Saturday and went snowshoeing! It was so beautiful and nice to be out in the fresh mountain air.

For V-day Dad got some cool new Adidas Kicks and Mom was super spoiled... she got the new and amazing IPhone 4!!! Sorry dad :(

Here's a few stats because I haven't updated those for a while :

Weight : 17 lbs. 8 oz. (20 percentile)

Height : Approx. 28 inches (50 Percentile)

Head : Still big but in a good way

Teeth : Still only 2 on the bottom 1 poking through on the top

Hair : TONS AND TONS, and now she will only wear hair bows that clip and keep her hair out of her face. Headbands are officially done for a while

Crawls everywhere and anywhere she can

Walks with the help of couches, happy sunshine walker, fireplace edge and anything else she can grab on to. She can stand alone and shocks herself every time she does so it doesn't last long

Words : num num and the occasional Mama (not a huge talker) But sure loves to mumble and yell when any music is playing

Bath Time : Prefers Showers over Tubby...

Sleeps : 9:30pm to 5am, then goes back to bed in mom and dads bed till 7:30am

Toys : Moms old Cell phone and Anything she shouldn't have

2010 Christmas Recap

This past Holiday season has been a blast!!! I can't even tell you how amazing Christmas was with the little Woman! It is amazing to me how much more fun everyone has when there is a new baby involved :)

Probably the best part of the holiday season was the long break I was able to take! It was so much fun to be a full time mom and spend so much time with Chloe. I will tell you that it was harder for me to go back to work on Monday than it was on Chloe. She was so happy to see the puppies and Grandma and Sharlee!

Here's the Recap:

On Christmas Eve my family did something we have never done, we went out for Christmas Eve dinner! It was so great! I was really worried that I wouldn't like it and it would feel not very Christmasy but it was just the opposite! It was so fun the food was amazing (we ate at Biaggi's at the Gateway), No one had to cleanup and it was so nice to dress up and eat out with the fam! Then after the great dinner we went back to Grandma's house for some Ice Creamy Cake for Grandma Mari's Birthday! (See the Chocolate Face Below)

After dinner we all went back to Grandma Mari's and played games! Lots of laughs :) Also Chloe opened her first Christmas PJ's! It was the first of many presents that she loved to rip open!!! I wasn't expecting her to love it that much because she is so little still but it was just the opposite, SHE HAD A BLAST!

Christmas morning we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Mills house for the annual Christmas Breakfast! Fun Times were had by all and again Chloe was way too spoiled! Here are some pics from the Christmas Morning.

I am so excited for Christmas this year :) We have had our Christmas tree up since the weekend before Thanksgiving because Chloe LOVES Christmas Trees so much. She gets so excited every time she sees them.

We also had our family Pictures taken for the first time and I am very pleased with how they turned out :)

Also Chloe was able to go and see Santa for the first time. She was very brave (I say brave because she didn't cry and Santa is kinda scary to me) and was quite the poser, but thats not new!

We were also able to go to the Festival of Trees with My mom and Aunt. I don't have any pictures because we were all kinda sick and not in the best shape for Pics. Even with us all feeling a little under the weather it was so fun and I am so glad thats a tradition we do every year!!

Im So excited for Christmas this year, I love spending time with my little family and we had all the Christmas Shopping done by Dec 11th :) Another new years goal of my completed! Look for more Christmas Posts to come...

This past week was a week of being thankful! I am so grateful for all that I have and all that I am blessed with. I am really too blessed! We were able to spend so much time with all our family and we are so lucky to be so close to both families!

O did I mention I am Sure thankful for this little Woman that makes my life so much more worth living :)

Cute Little Piggies! Chloe loves her toe nails painted O and her Finger Nails too :) She will sit there and watch me paint them! She just has a really hard time letting them dry before she wants to stick them in her mouth!

And of Course the fall leaves, they are not that colorful this year so this was actually taken from last year :( but at least some leaves are going Yellow and I am still able to crunch through all the leaves! (just ask Josh, he thinks I am such a little kid because I have to CRUNCH through any pile of leaves we come across)

Fall Fun

Fall is my most Favorite time of the Year! Football starts, the leaves change colors, the smell of fall comes out and makes me super happy, the weather cools down (well I guess not this year), Halloween & Halloween Parties, and so many other things!

Something fun Josh and I did was have our first date night since Chloe was born. It was so nice just to go to dinner with each other and not have to feed the baby or make sure the baby wasn't unhappy while we ate dinner, it was one of the first hot meals I have had in forever j/k! The we went up to the spruces and went for a nice walk in the cool fall weather. While we were up there we saw 4 deer, 3 moose and lots of squirrels and chipmunks! It was great to be just Mom and Dad for an evening! Chloe had fun at The Mills with G-Ma and G-Pa and all the Aunts and Uncles!

Already Fall has been so much more fun because of Chloe in our lives. She is such a joy and is loving all the things that I listed above too :) She is already quite the football fan! She is a PIT Steeler Fan just like her Mama! Also we have been going on lots of walks because the weather has been cooler in the mornings and also because the wind has finally died down! This has really been the windiest year EVER! I am so glad that it is starting to go away! Having a newborn and lots of Wind has not been a good combo for us, Chloe is a little bit of a Diva and does not like being in the wind, and when she is in the Wind the night is not a fun night. Lets just say Wind=Fussy baby!

Other than that we are doing just great. Chloe is getting bigger and bigger by the day. She is still super short but is learning so much! I can't believe how quick she is growing up! She is now sitting up all by herself (she started doing that 2 weeks ago), eating all kinds of food (including teething crackers), she is laughing and trying to say so much, she loves to wear all kinds of hats, wigs, and pretty much everything else you can put on the girls head!

I can't say enough how much joy and smiles this little girl has brought to our families! Grandma Mari and Aunt Sharlee are loving every Monday, Wednesday and Friday when they get to tend her! And Grandma & Grandpa Mills are loving the nights they get to tend her.

A BIG Month For A little Girl!

WOW, this has been such a month of milestones. Chloe is growing up too fast! When people would say enjoy every minute because they grow up fast, I would just think ok ya right! But it is so true, she will be going off to collage before we know it!

At 3 months Chloe weighed 12 lbs. 8 oz., which brings us to our first milestone. Just this past week I have had to box up all her 0-3 month old clothing and bring out the 3-6 month old clothing. I know its kinda corny, but putting away all her first little outfits was actually kind of sad. There are some fun memories in those little tiny outfits, but I am so happy that we took lots of Pictures!

The next milestone Chloe had this past month was not a fun one, she caught her first cold! The poor little girl was so stuffed up one night that she would fall asleep for about 10 minutes and the wake herself up because she couldn't breath all that well. I took her to the doctors the next morning and had her Oxygen Level and Lungs checked out. He said that she had a cold but because her Oxygen Level was great and her lungs sounded clear that she would be able to get through it as long as I keep sucking out the snot with the bulb syringe! Such a relief!!!! Other than the fact that it was a little scary that first night and Mom got the cold a day after Chloe, she was such a good baby to take care of when she didn't feel good! I was expecting a crying mess, but she was an Angel! (Sidenote: Dad did not get the cold which was a good thing but a little unfair!)

Another Milestone Chloe decided to try this month was Standing while supported! It is so funny to watch such a little girl try so hard to stand like all the big people around her! And then she even went a step further, literally! She loves to pick up one foot, move it forward and then pick up the other foot and move it forward! I showed Dr. Templeman at our appointment and he laughed and said, "Well most babies don't start the walking reflex this early but if you want a walker in a few months keep encouraging that!" (If you don't believe me See Video Below...PS Im sorry its sideways, Im working on fixing that!)

While we were at the Dr. appointment I told him that she watches every single bite we take at every single meal we eat! And she is loving sitting in her high chair! He gave us the GO to start real food!!! This is the part I have been so Excited to start, I can't even tell you how happy I was to hear, START REAL FOOD! Well to tell the truth we had been eating some tasty Rice Cereal at night for the past week, but I told Templeman that and he was super happy that I was watching for cues and not just waiting till the 4 month mark to start the rice cereal. She loves it and loves to eat off a spoon even more! Its really crazy, its like she had been eating off a spoon her whole life!

Chloe's real first meal was some tasty sweet Potatoes. She loved them and was a little upset when they were all gone and she had to finish her formula! Her second food that we tried 5 days later was some Tasty Avocado! She is such a little Ham and loves food, just like her Daddy!

Another kinda creepy thing that my super baby does is drink out of a cup... NO JOKE! I decided to try it because when ever I am drinking she likes to smack my cup because she thinks she needs some! Well I put it up to her little mouth and she had her first big swallow out of a cup! She didn't even spit it out! My mom was sitting next to me when I did this and said... "Gosh Emily, At the Rate she is going I will sign her up for Collage next week!"

We are so blessed to have such a good baby! I am pretty sure someone was watching out for me knowing that I couldn't do this whole parenting thing unless the baby was a good baby! And she is such a Great baby! I don't mean to brag but I just feel so blessed to have such a sweetheart!

Mama & Papa + Funny Ha Ha

Chloe is growing up like crazy! These past few months have just flown by here are a few pics of what mom and dad have been up to :)

Dad has been very busy in our yard, making it look amazing! I can't believe how different it looks from when we first moved in! Josh is quite the little gardener and I am so proud of all the hard work he does just so we can have such a beautiful home!

Josh has also been in school this summer trying to get it done ASAP...He has so much dedication!

I know its been over a month now since I did this but I wanted to post about it anyways :)

I was able to complete one of my New Year Resolutions! I ran in the race RAGNAR!!! For those of you who don't know what Ragnar is it is a relay race consisting of 12 people that run from Logan to Park City = 188 miles. It took us about 30 hours to complete. My leg this year was Leg 1 = 21.8 Miles

Was it hard? Yep

Did it hurt and make me feel like I was going to die? Yep it kinda did

Was it worth it? FOR SURE, and I would do it again in a heartbeat

I was only able to train for about 6-7 weeks after Chloe was born so I knew that it would be hard but I am so glad that I was able to do it and prove to myself that I could do it :) I loved it and can't wait till next year to do it again!

Its just the end of the laugh attack but I still think its so cute (Please ignore the music in the background and the fact that the camera is sideways, because if Chloe sees the camera all smiles and laughs stop and she just stares)

I'm a little late with this post but I wanted to make sure I had all these things typed down somewhere so that I would be able to remember them :)

Chloe Emily Mills - 2 Months Old

Weight : 10.5 lbs (56 Percentile)

Height : 21.5 Inches (21 Percentile)

Head Circumference : 36.5 cm (42 Percentile)

Yep she is short and chubby just like her Mama, Doctor said she is healthy and looking great. We are a huge fan of Dr Templeman, he is such a great doctor! :)

When she got her first round of shots (2 month Appointment) She cried for about 15 seconds and then just decided to sleep for the next 24 hours. She is the most amazing baby ever!

*At 7 Weeks Chloe has been sleeping 7-8 hours in the night

*At 7 Weeks Chloe has started to discover her Toes, In the Bath Tub she thinks they are the coolest thing ever

*At 8 Weeks Chloe Rolled from her Tummy to her Stomach

*At 9 Weeks Chloe Laughed for the First time, Cutest thing ever! She would laugh and then Josh and I would laugh so hard it made her laugh again! One of the best days as a mom!

*Between 8-9 Weeks Chloe is starting to know who Mom and Dad are and looks for them when they leave (but doesn't really cry yet)

*At 10 Weeks Chloe is sleeping 8-9 hours in the night

Side Note: Look for Chloe in a commercial about The Purple Crying Period :) I am super proud of her and will hopefully be able to upload the video on here soon! It kind of ironic that my baby is in the Purple Crying video because she really doesn't cry...

I am so grateful for all that I have in my life. An amazing Husband and Best Friend who supports me in everything I do, A Super Baby who couldn't be more beautiful than she is, A Mom who is a best friend and a wonderful grandma, a Aunt who has always been there for me and who now is there for Chloe, An awesome Family, A job that I love and allows me to work and be a mother, the Church, and everything else I have been blessed with in my life!

Chloe's Big Day - "The Blessing"

I can't believe that Chloe has been in our lives for a whole two months. It seems like so much longer, in a good way. It is so amazing how it feels like she has been a part of me my entire life.

Last Sunday Chloe Emily Mills was blessed by her father Joshua Mills. A few things I remember from the blessing were: That she would make good friends but more importantly be a good friend to all those around her, that she would have good health, and also that she would have good relationships with her parents and have communication and trust with us!

Another thing that I will never forget about the blessing was the look Chloe gave her father, when the blessing was over. It was like she understood every word he said and was so grateful to have such a great dad! (I know kinda corny)

I couldn't be more proud of Josh and Chloe. They are both so amazing and make my life complete! I would be so lost without them. I have only my Heavenly Father to thank for blessing me with such a great family, great friends and most importantly the gospel in my life. It helps me with all that I do, and will help me to know what I need to be teaching Chloe and how to raise her.

Chloe is such an amazing baby! She is sleeping 7 hours in the night already... I can't believe it, what 7 week old sleeps that many hours! She is really the most perfect baby for me! Here are a few pics of her showing off what a great sleeper she really is :)

O Dear, Someone fell asleep during Tubby Time! She loves her bath time and always has! She is such a funny girl. In just the past few weeks she has discovered that she loves to kick and splash, SO CUTE! And if you notice her cute leg you can tell she is Chunkin' Right up!

Church makes Chloe very Tired :) This was her first Sunday out to the Taylorsville 4th ward and it wore her right out!!!

We are just enjoying every smile and new discovery Chloe brings into our lives! She is an amazing baby. I am now back at work and she is loving all the time she gets to spend with Grandma Mari and Aunt Sharlee. She is really such a great baby and my greatest joy in life!

Next week I will have lots more to blog about :) We are blessing her on Sunday, she will have her 2 month Dr. appointment, and will be taking her 2 month pictures!

The past two weeks have been so much fun! It is amazing how much you can love something so instantly! Since the moment she has come into our life she has brought lots of smiles and lots of love! She really is an angel sent from above!

Chloe is probably the best baby ever... (knock on wood) She loves to hang out with Mom & Dad and just wants to take in as much as she can. She is a great sleeper at night and putting on weight like a champ! She is so alert and has the biggest eyes ever! We have her two week appointment tomorrow so I will post an update as soon as we get the word from the Doctor :) Here are a few pics until then

Starting Life

On April 9th 2010, at 6:12 am, Josh and I welcomed our little Angel - Chloe Emily Mills! She weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. and was 20 inches long.

My Pressure Waves (contractions) started April 8th at about 6pm while I was making dinner and Josh was outside mowing the lawn. As the night progressed they started to get a little more closer together and a were lasting about 40 seconds long. So we decided to try and get some sleep, because that is what we were taught to do in our Hypnobabies class. Well I didn't sleep much and at about 12:30 am the Pressure Waves were lasting a little over a minute long and were 4-6 minutes apart; that meant it was time to go to the hospital :)

We arrived at the hospital at 1:30 am, I was dilated to a 5 and was continuing to have my Pressure Waves very steady. At 3:30 am my water broke all on its own and I was dilated to a 7. Just one hour later we were at a +2 and ready to push. Pushing was very exhausting, one of the best workouts I have ever had, but since I hadn't been able to workout for the past 2 weeks I welcomed the workout!

Josh was an amazing Birth Partner, I couldn't have done it without him. He is really is the most supportive and amazing husband. I am so blessed to have him and Chloe is so blessed to have him as her dad! Hypnobabies wouldn't have been so successful if I didn't have the support and love from my man!

Just two very short hours later Chloe was out and ready to take on the world. She latched on to me within minutes of coming out into the world and seemed to know exactly who I was and even recognized Josh's voice. Every Nurse we were able to get help from in the hospital commented on what an Alert baby we have.

If you didn't know when you deliver natural you have to wait for the placenta to come out on its own, it usually takes about an hour; its like you are giving birth again only to something much smaller. Well my doctor did not want to wait and after about 15 minutes of waiting yanked it out causing a few complications... After I had been cleaned up and waiting for the nurses to give me back my baby I began to black out, I knew something wasn't right. I told Josh he needed to get a nurse because something wasn't right. When the nurse came in my Blood Pressure was 60/35 (which is Way Too Low) and I was bleeding out from the inside because I had not been given the opportunity to push my placenta out naturally. To make a long and scary story short, it took two more hours to get the blood to stop pouring out of me. We were told that if we had waited just 5 more minutes before getting a nurse Josh could have very well been a single dad. But I had great nurses who knew what they were doing and didn't waste any time! Laura and AnnaJannet were amazing and I am so grateful to them!

One of my new years goals was met and I was able to deliver my baby 100% natural. It was such a powerful and rewarding experience and truly was the best gift I could ever give my baby. She is alert and was able to not have the drugs in her. Is going natural for everyone, nope, but I sure would recommend it to anyone, because of the amazing experience it allowed me and my baby to share. It was hard work, but it really wasn't painful! People all around the world look at birth as an honor and blessing. But in the US we are taught to be very afraid of child birth through movies and past experiences, and the cycle just continues. Birth is truly a natural and wonderful process that our bodies are meant to do. I loved it and couldn't be more happy with my decision to go natural and feel all the wonderful pressure waves that brought my baby into this world!

Happy Birthday Josh!!!! Yep that's right this past weekend was Josh's birthday, and he turned the big 25! Here are some pics from the Big BirthDay Bash :) (We kept it pretty low key this year considering the baby could come any day now)

Next Josh decided that he wanted to go to the Zoo. It had been a few years since we were able to do this and we had such a great time seeing all the animals, walking in the warm beautiful weather, and just enjoying our time with each other.

Im so lucky to have such an amazing Husband. He is always there for me and always can put a smile on my face. He supports me 110% in every crazy idea I have. I can't believe that this year is the 17th year we have known each other and been friends... Crazy!

He is so patient and is going to make the best dad ever! Chloe is sure blessed to have such a great dad just waiting for her to get here!

Im so proud to call him my best friend and can't wait to share so many more birthdays to come! I love you Josh and couldn't be happier you picked me!

Finishing Touches for Baby...

This past weekend Josh and I finished all the little things we needed to do in order to get ready for Chloe to get here! We feel like we are as prepared as you can be... I'm sure there are things we are forgetting but we will just tackle those as they come along :) Yes the "Go To" bags are packed and ready - If you watch the Office you will know what I am talking about (LOL)

If you have any ideas that would be good for us new parents to prepare for please pass them along!

The reason we decided to finish up on things was because at my appointment last Thursday, I was already effaced to 75% and dilated to a 2 :) Doctor Irion was really surprised, but I have always thought this little girl was going to be impatient just like her mom!

So here is Chloe's Bedding and Letters for her name that I finally finished! I will have to say that I am quite pleased with how they turned out, considering that I have no artistic ability what so ever... (sorry the pics turned out a little light)

Here is the only Pic that I was able to get from my Family shower, the food was amazing! My mother in law really put together quite the spread! It was a great time had by all, I just wish that I was able to get more pics taken... Everyone showed up and the camera got lost :( We were super spoiled and I feel so blessed to have such supportive families and friends (Lampson's, Mills, Bennions & and Friends) Thank you everyone

Chloe sure has been Moving a lot lately (Day and Night)! She is always turing and tossing, but the thing she likes to do most lately is get the hiccups, and can that Girl Hiccup!!! I am afraid she has picked that trait up from her mom! So fun!

We are getting super excited to see her, I am 31 Weeks as of Today!!! She will be here before we know it!

It has been so much fun getting ready for Chloe to get here, and we look forward to her birth day when we will get to see the little Monkey!

Looking back at the past year seems kind of unreal, I can't believe how fast it went by and how many things happened! It was a very busy year for us and we couldn't have been more blessed or taken care of! Here are a few highlights of all the adventures the Mills had this past year...

Probably one of the biggest changes we had this past year was Josh's job opportunity with Costco! Yes he worked around 60-70 hours each week between his two jobs but he really did love working there for the past 9 months and we were blessed to have Costco! But if you didn't already know As of Dec. 30th 2009 Josh is now back to only one Job. So excited that I will be able to see my husband more in 2010!

On a sad note our huge Maple tree had a pretty bad wound in a wind storm earlier this year... Luckily the poor little guy has survived and will hopefully come back bigger and more beautiful next year!!!

RUN RUN RUN: I was able to train and race in the 2009 Ragnar Relay Race with my friends and Co-Workers! It was hard work and so worth it! I am hoping to be able to train in time to race next years as well... Keep your fingers crossed for me :)

Summer Trips- We were able to find some time between work and more work to go on a couple of trips. What is a summer without wakeboarding...? Jordanelle was a great time with the Mills and a lot of fun memories were shared and created!

Our next trip we were able to take was a road trip back to Josh's Mission Kennewick WA. It was something we have wanted to do since we were first dating! I was able to meet so many amazing people, and they all loved Josh so much! He is such an example to me everyday and I am so lucky to have married such a great man!!!

A side note - The only bad part about that trip was Washington was having Record High Heat!!! It was around 100 degrees with 100% humidity, O ya and I was in the first four to five weeks of being prego, not a fun combo!

Another fun thing we were able to... experience was the Stadium of Fire - Jonas Brothers Concert! So funny! We had a great time enjoying a few of the songs, and an even better time watching all the crazy fans! Never thought I would ever go to a Jonas Brothers Concert but O well you only live once!

Another fun year with the Boys! This is Cooper, You couldn't ask for a nicer more lovable puppy, but Not a fan of the camera...

And this is my Little Man Rusty (aka Russell) He is a true Camera Show Off! I love these two Wiener Dogs! They are always so happy to see us and make life so much more interesting!

(In the Summer you will always find that Red Ball with Rusty, he doesn't ever put it down)

We were able to have our 2nd Annual Boo Bash! It was so much fun and such a great turn out! I can't wait for the 3rd Annual Boo Bash!

One thing I really enjoyed about 2009 was the amazing Fall colors that were all around! Fall is my favorite season by far, and what a great fall it was!

Another Trip I was able to go was Philly with My Mama! We have gone to Philly to Watch an Eagles game for the past 5 years. It is always so much fun! We were able to enjoy the fall season back east, enjoy lots of tasty foods, and we even were able to go to a Flyers Hockey game this year! What a blast! My Mom is so much fun to be with and is such a great friend to me! I couldn't ask for a better mom for me!

And of Course the biggest News of 2009 - Baby On Board

Is pregnancy fun? Nope it sure isn't, you are Moody, you get Zits, you have to pee every 5 minutes, you get leg cramps in the middle of the night, you get fat and swollen, you get sick and you don't even feel better after you have thrown up, your body temp raises about 15 degrees, and you just don't feel like you!

But when you feel that baby kick you for the first time and you see how cute your husband is when he talks to your little baby it makes it all worth it!

We are so excited for 2010 and all the fun Adventures that are going to come with it!

So this year I have decided to make a few goals for myself

Be better at Blogging (starting this week, keep your eyes out for new pics)

Workout at least 4 times a week, with the exception of one - two weeks this year

Drink More Water

Go To More Movies (Because Thats what Josh really loves to do)

Have my baby natural

Race in the 2010 Ragnar Relay Race

Be a better Wife and Try to learn how to be a good mom

Get better at Reading my Scriptures and Praying Daily

Be more Understanding

See Family and Friends more often

Go VT every month

And work hard everyday to be an overall better person by the time 2011 is here!

Her First Picture

Here is our little baby girl! This will be the first picture of many!

Within the first 10 seconds of the ultrasound we knew that she would be a she and not a he. Lets just say she was ready to tell her dad "Hey Im a girl and you better start calling me She not He" :) After that she wouldn't stop moving around, it was hard to get a good pic of her because of all the tossing and turning!

Everything on the ultrasound looked great! She had all 10 fingers and Toes, Her heart looked like it had all 4 chambers developed and beating fast (148 beats per min.), Her spine looked fully developed and healthy. From what the doctors can tell she is doing GREAT!

Both Families are super excited (especially the Grandmas). I can't wait to meet her and see who she looks like more!

Fall is my favorite season by far! The smells, the leaves, Football and of course Halloween makes this my most favorite time of the year!!! Here are some fun fall things that have been happening to the Mills!

My mom and I took our annual trip to Philadelphia to watch the Eagles play! So much fun!We went to a Scarecrow festival and shopped till we dropped! We were also able to go to a Flyers Hockey game. That was my first professional hockey game, and what a blast it was :) I am so lucky to have such a fun mom who loves football just as much as I do. We always have such a fun time together and I look forward to many more fun memories...

Josh and I were able to go back to Kennewick Washington. If you didn't know that is where Josh served his Mission. It was so much fun and we were able to see so many amazing people and places! (sorry I went a little Picture Happy)

Yep so we are dorks, we went and took a tour of one of the Dams there! This is one of the 8 generators they use, its really quite amazing!

A Crane that fixes anything in the generators - It can hold up to 430 TON WOW!!!!

When I saw this I lost it! Because the dam is so big this is what they use to get around :) Highlight of the tour for sure, I really want one of those!

I was happy to hear the Dam cares about the Fishy's too! They are working hard everyday to make sure the fish can get through the dam! FYI Those were some big fish!

Hike #1 Beacon Rock : You go from below sea level to over 1,000 ft. in 20 minutes! O and did I mention you can see the bottom of the hike the whole way up!!!

But so worth it!

Hike #2 : Ape Caves - A cave formed by hot Hot HOT Lava in the early 1900's! It is pitch black dark in there and is about 30 degrees! One of the best hikes ever!

I wish we would have taken more pictures of the families we went to go visit but we would get talking too long and forget!

I am so grateful for what a wonderful husband I have. He was able to make such a difference! He has so many good friends up there who love him and think the world of him! It was a perfect trip filled with fun and happy memories! I couldn't ask for more!

The mills family went up to Jordanelle for a fun little boating trip and came back with some good suntans and some fun memories!

Just a little side note, everywhere you went you could find about 50 million earwigs! We hung all our swim suits up to dry the first night and that next morning everyone had at least 10 trying to create a home out of their swim stuff... Everyones except mine, mine had around 25!!! Really kinda gross but made for a really good laugh!

I went on a little trail run the other day and my worst nightmare came true.... about a mile into the run I ate it so hard! My knees were pretty bloody by the time I got down from the run, and brusing was already starting :) Yep Im a dork! The pictures make is look better than it is because I took them a few days after the big fall; but don't worry I am back to running and can't wait to try another trail run soon!!

The Catch Up+4th of July

So It has really been a long time since I last did a post.... Opps Well here is The Catch Up

On a sad note Josh and I had the misfortune of losing 1/3 of our Maple Tree. It is a fully mature tree that is in our front yard! We really love that tree and hope it will be able to survive its injury! Josh was really sad about the whole mishap as you can see in the picture below! A good thing that has happened in our Yard is the Lily's finally that bloomed :)

Moving on to a happier topic: Disc Golf! Josh and I are fans of the sport, and are so excited the weird rainy June weather is behind us we are able to go and play :) I still stink at it this year, and Josh is still way too good but we sure have fun!

~THE 4th OF JULY WEEKEND~

Josh and I really had a great 4th of July Weekend! We are so blessed to live where we live and have the support of our family and friends, we are grateful for all we have!

Our weekend started out with a Friday morning breakfast at Village Inn, they really do have the best pancakes ever!!! We went with my mom and aunt and had a really great time.

After that poor Josh had to go to work and I was able to spend the whole day with my mom. We went and got Pedicures and Manicures and did way too much shopping! It was a blast!

The next day Josh and I started our 4th of July celebration with the Murray Parade. The parade is the best part of the day in my opinion, but Josh would rather be at the dentist... either way he was a great sport and I think he actually enjoyed it ;)

Next we drove up to the spruces with Rodney and Kelcie for the Mills activities. We saw lots of family and had a great time going on a little walk in the mountains

After our mountain adventure we headed back down to the valley to get ready for The Stadium of Fire! If you didn't hear the Jonas Brothers were there, and Lots of screaming girls!!! It was a great experience to be there , but lets just say that once is good enough for me with the Jo Bros! But seeing She Daisy and the fireworks couldn't have been better!

This post is dedicated to my Grandma Lampson, also known as Dorothy, Dottie, Dot, and Gama! My grandma past away on May 15th 2009. She was an amazing woman who loved her daughters, sisters, granddaughters, and most of all the gospel. She served in many callings and served many people.

Some of my fondest memories I have of her are the weekends we would spend together when I was growing up. I am one of only two grandchildren so I was pretty spoiled to always have MY grandma growing up.

She has been apart from her Parents, Husband, and Son for many years now. She will be missed but is in a better place. I am grateful to have had such a wonderful woman in my life for so many years and look forward to the day when I will get to see her and hug her once again.

We had such a great mothers day yesterday, it was filled with sunny weather, Tasty homemade Carbonara (so amazing thanks to the amazing Chef Mom), Yummy Chocolate Decadence Cake, a Cold Stone Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cake, great company, and good memories that will last forever!

We started the day off with Church, all the women in our ward received Tomato plant for the mothers day present! I love it and can't wait to plant mine, I will keep you updated!!!

Then we headed off to my house! My mom is an amazing hostess and made an amazing meal! We had a huge antipasto tray filled will meat, cheese, peppers, olives, baby corns, grilled asparagus, and so many more yummy things! Then she made some amazing Carbonara! It was such a great dinner, now you are probably saying why did I make my mom cook dinner... she likes to do it and is much happier if she is the cook :) She should open her own restaurant!!!

She is such a talented person in so many ways! She can cook, paint, make us all laugh, and is creative in almost every single way, she is selfless and always puts others before herself! She is a hard worker, great sister and an amazing mother! She is so much fun to be around and we always have blast when we are together! I am so glad she is my mom and couldn't have asked for a better mom for me!!!

Next we went to Josh's house. We had a great time spending time with the whole family and loved being able to catch up on everyones lives! The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cake from Cold Stone was great and we loved every bite!

Julie is such a great mother in law! She is so thoughtful and always making sure we are taken care of. She is always serving others and knows how to make all her kids feel loved! She is always on the go and is very organized in everything she does! She is a great example to follow and is a joy to be around. Josh is still her baby boy, and is more and more grateful for her every single day. He couldn't ask for a better mom for him!!!

We are so lucky to have these two women in our lives!!! They are both so amazing and so good to us! We couldn't ask for better mothers to love and to be loved by!!! We are grateful for all they do and look forward too making more fun memories with them!!!

V-day Weekend 2009...Opps its a little late

Wow it has taken me too long to get this posted but finally here it is, the Mills Valentine's weekend!!!

On Friday night we hung out with Tyler and Sarah Howland, Jon and Aubree Midgley, and Brett and Amber Lovell at Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Brett's 24th birthday! The food was good and the company was better! We all went over to Tyler and Sarah's after that and laughed way too much about fun times we all have had!!!

Saturday Josh and I woke up not too early and headed down to Cedar City! We always love to take drives together and most people would probably think that is weird but we just like to talk and enjoy all the fun things we get to see!!! We ended up in Kolob Canyon where we went snowshoeing for about 2 hours!!! I love that place and feel right at home with the red rock surrounding me! Here are some fun Pics we were able to get while hiking, falling, and Jumping around!

Sorry its been a while since my last post!!! I have been super busy with work and been a little stressed with a past audit I had to deal with! But no worries now we passed and I can get back to my fun work that i enjoy everyday!!!
So this past weekend Josh and I were able to hang out with our good friends Matt and Brittany! We went snowshoeing up in the spruces but every time we hang out it always turns into an adventure, and thats why we like to hang out with them so so so much!
Let me explain: We started up Big Cottonwood canyon around 10:30am but didn't get shoeing until about 11:45am... As we were driving up the canyon in the Rain/Snow mixture, better know as SLUSH, we watch a Dodge truck almost drive right off the cliff! We were turning a sharp curve when the truck took a nose drive right into the huge bank of snow that separated them from near death!! After about 20 minutes of digging and trying to push we decided that it would be smarter if we drove up to the next rest stop area to see if there was a cop or someone with a tow rope! And it probably didn't help that this poor kid had no idea how to drive!
Every other time Josh and I have drove this part of the canyon we have seen a cop but of course when we needed one there was no one to be seen; but we did find a very nice person who was willing to let us borrow his tow rope! We drove back down and after getting the knots all good and tight Misty, Josh's 4-Runner, pulled that dodge out with no problem :) Josh has never been more proud! O and if it looks like the front tire on the passengers side is hanging off the cliff that is because it was!
LESSON LEARNED: If you see someone who needs help, really needs help, it is a good idea to help!!! There was only 1 other car who stopped!

We finally got up to the spruces and started to hike. About a half way through it started to rain but we figured we would be ok and just kept going! And it only started to snow on the way down, for most of the time it was that fun stuff called SLUSH! But by the time we got up to the top of Doughnut Falls we were all soaking wet! Josh and Matt looked like two little Cats who had just been dunked in a huge bucket of water!! Way sad :(
Even if we were way too wet when we got back all of us had a great time and admitted we would do it again in a second!!!

New York/Philadelphia at Christmas Time

Last weekend I was able to go to New York and Philadelphia with my Mama! We were able to see so many fun things and have such a good time together.
We got into Philly late Friday night and woke up super early on Saturday to head off on the Amtrak for New York City!!! After the interesting Train Ride we were finally in New York! We were able to see Time Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, Decorated buildings, and the best thing was WICKED! O my goodness what an amazing show! The actors were truly sensational and the set design blew me away! Here are a few pics from That fun day!!!

The next Two days were spent in Philadelphia! While we were there we were able to see all that Philly has to offer around Christmas time and were lucky enough to go the Monday Night Eagles Football game!!! SO MUCH FUN! E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!!!
The whole trip was so much fun and I am lucky to have a mom who is so good to me!

So this weekend Josh and I had a great Thanksgiving! I think it was one of the best ever :) We had lots of family time and some really good food. We started with my family, Mom made all the originals; Turkey with the homemade Lampson stuffing, Yams, Parsnips, Yummy Cranberry Sauce, Fresh Green Beans with the French's Onions (I made those this year), Mashed Potatoes and Homemade Turkey Gravy. It was all so tasty!!! After dinner I played a couple rounds of Candyland with the kids, I love that game still so so so much! Josh had a good chat with Aunt Sharlee and we were all entertained by Kaylie the 7 year old girl who is quite the entertainer!

After a full and fun time with my family we headed over to the Mills Thanksgiving party. By the time we got there people were just finishing up dinner and were starting on all the homemade Pumpkin, Coconut Cream, Chocolate, and Pecan pies. Yep I was in heaven. Josh had to find room in his Tummy for his Grandma's Famous MONKEY bread and homemade fried rice. We love spending time with the Mills and are so grateful for having such a fun group to hang out with. O ya and we all write in grandmas Thanksgiving book each year and thought it would be fun to see what Josh had wrote about the past few years, well in 2001 Josh said "I am grateful for my family, my friends, and all those pretty girls out there" I just thought that was so funny I just had to share!

Once we had been stuffed and visited with everyone we went off for the Mills sibling tradition. Movie night at the dollar theater :) We saw the Dark Knight and it was just as good the second time as it was the first. We are so grateful to have family living so close to us and to be able to get along so well with everyone! We are also grateful to have so many nice things and to live where we do and enjoy all the freedoms we have!

Ok now on to the way fun and exciting pictures!!! Im really sorry I didn't get any pics from Thanksgiving but when I got my camera out it was all out of batteries :( But don't be too sad here is the Christmas Cheer thus far in the Mills Residence!!!

The Final Halloween Blog for 08

Halloween was amazing this year!
My boss, Rich, bought lunch for everyone and their families and asked them all to dress up and come in for a fun halloween party! It was so much fun and I am so happy that we had such a great turn out this year! Here are some pics from the PART-A!

After a fun day at work I headed home and got ready for the First Annual BOO BASH 2008!!! Sarah helped me so much and I think it was a success! We carved Pumpkins, Played the guess the body part game (good job Maren), Unwrapped candy with huge monster hands (the girls rocked on that game), Played Jungle Speed and had a fun time hanging out and catching up!

This past weekend Josh and I were able to hang out with our Friends Justin and Tawny. They came over to our house and we ate dinner, I made Dinner in a Pumpkin, then we each carved our pumpkins and played games into the late hours of the night!

We were all amazed that each pumpkin looked so much different and had its own personality :) They are such good friends to drive so far to see us! We love them and can't wait to hang out with them again soon!

And next to it was a fun little note that said he was just thinking about me and wanted me to know how grateful he is for me! Josh is the best husband ever and I am so thankful to have him in my life!

Time Flies By When You Are Having Fun!!!

It is official Josh and Emily Mills are no longer newlyweds! We have now been married a whole year! Looking back at the year, Josh and I have had some Good times, Bad times, Amazing times, and some not so Amazing times. We have owned two houses in the past year and only lived in one of them, we have had our entire life taken away from us one night while we were shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond, we have been through ups and though downs. But through it all we have been able to stay the best of friends! I am so grateful to have a husband who is so patient and understanding of me! Josh is my everything and I can wait to spend another year going through all the exciting times we get to experience! There is no place I would rather be than with my best friend Josh!

Here are 15 reasons why I am so grateful for Josh (I picked 15 because that is how many years Josh and I have been friends):
1. He makes me open up and talk more than I normally would
2. He is always thinking of things that would make me happy
3. Josh gives 150% in our Marriage and everything else he does
4. He is so dang HOT!

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, life got away from us again! But we are back and ready to give you a taste of our fun life :)

Last Saturday Josh and I woke up about 8 and realized it was the first Saturday probably since we have been married where we didn't have anything planned or scheduled for us to do! We were so happy and couldn't wait to find fun things to do!

First thing we did was drive on the Legacy Highway... I know kinda weird but our original plan was to walk on the parkway that is right next to it but decided not to because it was extremely windy~ It was still fun to see and cool that we could drive all the way to Lagoon in half the time :) You should Check it out....

We were a little sad because we had planned to take a walk but instead we came up with something even more fun and exciting! Are you ready... We went to the Tracy Aviary! Yep that is the place with all the birds. Josh and I have been talking about doing that for too long so we finally made it happen :) We love birds and all the amazing facts that you can learn about them! In the second Pic that Big Pelican wanted to bite Josh so bad... He He He~ Also the colors in the last pic are just crazy!!! I think I am starting to look at that more because of where I work but really take a look for yourself, it looks like we altered the pic and I promise we didn't!

After we were done looking at all the "pretty birds" we went out to dinner with my mom and aunt to this new Italian restaurant! I highly recommend it! Its called Fratelli Ristorante Yum Yum Yum is all I have to say!

We were still determined to go on walk, so we had this brilliant I idea to go up to the mountains and walk in the rain... Well it was a great idea until we got up there an realized that Josh has left his Sweatshirt at home, and he was wearing shorts. We did try but.... well you will see!

Josh looks sad and I look like a total dork, but at least the 4 Runner looks tuff :) It was such a fun day and helped us to remember what it was like to have no cares in the world for just one day!

FALL TIME IS (ALMOST) HERE....

I am so excited that Fall time is really almost here! Tonight the 2008-2009 FOOTBALL SEASON Starts!!! I am so excited! To celebrate at work today we all were able to get Jamba Juice's and enjoy any last minute Smack Talk for our Fantasy Football league :) Hope the Lil Devils take it all

Also another amazing thing that is starting is Season 2 of Gossip Girl :) I have really missed that scandalous show :) I la la la luv it

Josh was able to go on a Fall Fishing trip with Dad, Goober, and Andrew. Josh caught 4 fish and was showed up by his younger brother (goober) O well better luck next year. ( I am in shock how much Goober looks like Josh)

Because it has been such great weather lately Josh and I have been enjoying the outdoors :) Josh was so patient one day he was able to take a picture of a baby Scrub Jay we have in our yard... He is so cute! Also Josh has been enjoying the cheap but useful hornet catcher we purchased, yep we are outdoor dorks!

A down side to the cooler weather are all of the bugs that want to come inside where its warmer. Josh and I have found too many enourmous spiders... So we had to have our house sprayed everywhere!!!! Here are some of the ones living with us for just a few hours longer. ( and yes that is a Hobo and a Black Widow )

Having fun while we work!

Josh and I have been trying to have fun as well as getting the house cleaned and organized.

On Saturday and Sunday we ate dinner with my Mom and Aunt, and were just able to catch up on life with them! At dinner on Saturday I tried to take some Pictures of them but Sharlee my Aunt wasn't to camera happy! I love those two so much!

On Monday we went up to the mountains with Josh's family and had a BBQ! It was so much fun. We ate yummy burgers, went a on a very enjoyable walk, and were able to just sit and laugh around the campfire. It was nice to just hang out the the Mills and be in one of our favorite places; THE SPRUCES!!!

A Guilty Pleasure that Josh and I have discovered is GOSSIP GIRL, I love that show and I think Josh loves it too. We are getting through the first season so on September 1st we will be caught up for season 2! I can hardly wait!!! Chuck Bass is my favorite Character(See pic Below) and Josh is torn between a couple different characters :) Yep we are dorks but at least we are dorks together!

Ok Friends, here is the update on the house now that we are finally living in it :)
~THE BEDROOM~
Here is the bed. We added the Sconce's on the wall and the fan that you can hardly see because it is moving so fast :)

Here is the long awaited shower, the first pic is the new shower head and faucet that were installed and the second pic is the shower curtain rod that was harder to install that you would think, but Josh did an amazing Job!!! My Husband is so great!

This is the light in the bathroom that we picked out, I just really think its kinda cool so I took a pic! Here is the Vanity that I stained myself, It was one of the harder things I have done but I will appreciate it every single day now!

Making this hallway look presentable was tougher than we thought! We had to move the attic hole to that place because it was originally in the bedroom.

House Update:One Week to Go...

It has been a really long 3 weeks but now we are starting to see all of our hard work paying off!

Here is Josh working hard so that our laundry room will have a drain :) If you have ever had to cut cement before you know how messy, dirty, and painful it can be! It looks so good and is going to make it possible now so that we can have a washer and dryer O ya and so that our house is up to code.

In the Bathroom the tile is down and it now has sheetrock! I just have to point out the shelves, its all the small details that make us O SO HAPPY!

THE BEDROOM!!!! The closets in the first pic and the other end of the room in the other pic! I am so happy it is actually looking like a room now!

The Garden: We now have an actual garden instead of the Rock garden we were sporting :) This has been my favorite part of the whole process so far!

Taking a few days for Fun!

On the Fourth of July Josh and I decided to take a break from the house work and spend the holiday doing things that were fun and not so work oriented :) So we met Rodney and Kelcie and Kelcie's family on State and 53rd for the parade. Josh wasn't that excited to go but being the amazing guy he is decided to go so we could be together. (in the pic you can see how happy he is :)
Later that afternoon we went to my Family BBQ and then Josh took a nap on my Aunts couch because he was worn out from the exciting parade that we went to :)
In the evening Josh, Chelsie (josh's sister), Rodney and Kelcie, and I drove up to Park City to watch the firework show that they put on! All I can say is WOW, those were some beautiful explosions! The only bad part about the whole evening were the Hippies sitting next to us smoking... Not only did we get an amazing show, i think we got a secondhand high!

Another day that we decided not to work on the house was just last Friday (the 11th). Josh and I decided to meet Josh's family up at Bear Lake ( they had been staying there the whole week and because we needed to get things done on la casa we didn't go) We woke up at 4:30am and arrived in Bear Lake around 7:30 by 8:30 we were out on the lake in some of the choppiest water I have ever been on. There were 4-5 foot swells! At one point I was on the tube with Kelcie and Mak when we looked up at the boat it was almost completely vertical! Needless to say we were out of the water by 11:30 and decided just to hang out with the fam and enjoy not having to work our butts off! It was a great day and we both loved being with our fun Family!
I think its funny that I only got pics with my good friend Kelcie (that is Josh's Brother, Rodney's, girlfriend)! Love that girl!

~HOUSE UPDATE~

Everyday this is what our day consist of: Wake up, Get ready for work, Josh then gets off at 2 or 3 and starts to work on the house, I then get off around 6 and head home to make Josh a quick sandwich and then I head over to the house and we work on the yard or inside until about 11pm, Come home shower and go to bed. Every day for the last 3 weeks :) But I am happy to say that all the hard and strenuous work is starting to pay off!
In the yard we have been able to get the grass under control and have pretty much tore out all the ugly old bushes! As of right now we just have a rock garden, since we bought the house at the end of June it was a little late to start putting in a beautiful lush garden. But in the fall you might see some green(See Pics)

The other area of work is the master bed and bath. As of right now it is a disaster zone! It should be looking more like a house again in about a week :) We are on a deadline here because we only have until July 19th until we have to move out of our apartment! I am feeling good about this and think its going to get done!

Here is our new kitchen! We are planning on repainting the cabinets and we have all new appliances coming as soon as we move in!

Here is the Front Living Room! I am so excited for this room because there is such great lighting and the fireplace is going to be so much fun once we get it all cleaned up!

Yep you guessed it this is the master bath that we have started Demo on! There was a wall between the two sinks and that tile has just got to go! Don't worry about the mess it will be cleaned up in no time! Thank you Scott and Katrina for all your help so far and for letting us come over to your home at 11pm :)

And now the big DEMO! This will be the master bedroom! We are converting these two small rooms into one master bedroom! Sheetrock is really not that fun to take down and all of those boards had to go too! I don't think Josh and I have ever been so sore or tired :) but because we are both so excited for the finished project it keeps us going!
We have been so blessed and are so grateful for this fun and exciting opportunity! It has really helped us work as a team and has given us so many happy memories already! Thanks to all our family and friends who have been helping us out with everything!

NEW HOUSE!!!

On June 23rd Josh and I became official house owners! It was one of the biggest events that has happened in our 8 months of marriage! It is in Taylorsville. The house is just over 2300 Square feet, it sits on 0.22 acres, inside there is 5 beds and 2 baths. The house has not been lived in for over 8 months (kinda weird coincidence) so it needs a little love and care We are also making two of the bedrooms one big master bedroom :) No worries Josh and I are both young and ready to make this house a home! We are so excited and so grateful to be able to start living in a house and getting out of the apartment scene! Our families have been so supportive and so much fun to share this big experience with!
As for right now I am only going to post the pics of the front and the back, as we are in the middle of the whole remodeling processes! When I have the before and after pics I will get them up, until then I hope these will do!
I will also get the new pics of the yard up sometime tomorrow so that you will be able to see the 180 difference in the yard :)

What is his name? Joshua Robert Mills

How long have you been together? Well I have been friends with Josh since we were 8 years old, so that is about 15 years, but we have only been together since December of 2006

How long did you date? We dated for 10 months before we were married in October of 2007

How old is he? 23

Who eats more? Josh eats way more! He always ends up eating double of whatever I make, or whenever we go out, or if we eat at my moms house :) He loves his food, and he has a super fast metabolism and can do it :) He is so HOT

Who said I love you first? He did...

Who is taller? Definitely Josh, He is 6 feet and I am almost 5'4"

Who can sing better? We both can sing and carry a tune and we love to sing when we are in the car :) But I honestly think Josh is an amazing singer and should use his talent more, but he won't.

Who is smarter? It just depends on the situation. We both have our areas of expertise! Josh is so logical and can learn just about anything. I have lots of street smarts and common knowledge that I have acquired along the way! We both have strengths to help balance each other out :)

Who does the laundry? That would be me for sure :)

Who pays the bills? Josh is so good about this and keeps things in order so well, so I let him take care of that and he lets me know what is going on.

Who sleeps on the right side? Joshua

Who mows the lawn? Josh and if you ask him about his new lawn mower he can talk about it for hours. It's his new pride and joy. I am so glad that Josh can get so excited over something that is so productive!

Who cooks dinner? That would be me again, and I love to do it!

Who drives? Josh its just better that way for both of us

Who is more stubborn? Probably me, Josh is so patient and understanding!

Who kissed who first? Josh was for sure the one to do this! If you are Josh's friend I am sure you know him as the kissing King! It was the summer before Josh left on his mission and before I went down to college. We were out talking in front of my house when all of a sudden he got really close to me and trapped me between him and his car! At first I couldn't believe I was kissing Josh Mills my friend I have known my whole life so after the weird factor left I realized WOW he really is an amazing kisser!

Who proposed? Josh did. We had planned a Saturday to head down to St. George to go hiking. Well we had hiked all the way up to one of the highest peaks when I asked Josh if he would get me a drink out of the pack I had been packing around with all day long, when he came out from behind me and asked if I wanted to be his wife. I was in shock not just because Josh asked me to marry him but also because it was me who was carrying the ring around all day long! He is so sneaky! I was so happy I could barely make it back down the mountain! SEE PICTURE FOR THE PLACE AND DAY WHERE IT HAPPENED!

Who has more friends? Josh has a lot that he still talks with, but I am so happy that almost all of his friends have now become my friends too! We are pretty even I think!

Who is more sensitive? ME, not one of my better qualities

Who has more siblings? Josh for sure! I am an only child, Josh has 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters.

Who wears the pants? Probably Josh, he is a really good leader (even if he won't admit it) and he has lots of good ideas. But We always discuss things first and make sure that its ok with both of us!

LAKE POWELL

Last week Josh and I were able to travel down to lake Powell with Josh's family and spend a few days soaking up the sun, wake boarding, boating, fishing, and just enjoying some good family time! We both had such a blast and now have some great memories that will last forever!
The first day we were able to get in lots of tubing on the amazing tube Josh's uncle has. It is so amazing because it can never flip over, I am so grateful for that! I have never laughed so hard riding that tube with Mak (Josh's sister) If you look at the pics you will see I am laughing in every single one. It really was a great ab workout!
The second day we got some good wake boarding in! You can see how amazing my husband is at wake boarding but don't expect to see any pics of me because while I was wake boarding (which I can) Josh was driving the boat, helping me to have perfect wake boarding conditions :) he really is so great at pretty much everything!
The third day we spent a lot of time on the fun beach we found and had a blast swimming and cliff jumping :) We were also able to wake board and ride the tube some more. On the way back at the end of the day Mak, Landon, and I were on the tube and Josh was driving the boat. Josh was trying to give us the ride of a lifetime taking us through every wake and choppy area of water he could find, when all of a sudden he saw the Ferry and noticed the enormous wake that was behind it. Now I really don't know if you have ever seen one of those Ferry's that carry the cars from one side of lake Powell to the other but they are huge! Josh hit that wake and we flew at least 10 feet in the air. I have never laughed so hard in all my life :)
The fourth day was mainly clean up and time to head back to real life :(
Each night Josh and I walked down to the boat Marina and were able to look at all the beautiful Cruisers and huge house boats! It was about a 2 mile walk each night and as we were headed back we were able to look at the beautiful starry nights.
What a great family vacation, and what a fun way to get a tan! I am so grateful to have such wonderful In-laws who care so much about Josh and myself. I can't wait for Bear lake in just a few short weeks!
(liz this is my first real blog lets hope that is how I am supposed to do it :))

Sorry I haven't posted anything new or exciting... Josh and I are headed to Lake Powell this week and when we get back next week I promise to get some good pics up of powell and our new house :)
